JOB TITLE/LOCATION:
Assembler – Carson City, NV
DESCRIPTION:
Assemblers aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements. Assemblers perform simple and routine repetitive manual operations such as matching, assembling, cleaning, lubricating, marking and packaging a variety of bearings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Identifies and assembles complete bearings by matching component parts using various gages to check component parts or bearings for conformance to job specifications.
- Cleans components and bearings using methods specified.
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: taping, deburring, sandblasting, all bench operations and performing quality checks.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Prepare, cut, and/or assemble self-lubricated liner system.
- Incumbent is responsible for cleaning the area he/she is working in before completing the shift and/or prior to moving to another area for proper housekeeping.

EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 0-3 years related experience (e.g. perform simple and routine assemblies and/or marking & packaging of product).
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Competence to read and comprehend simple instructions, understand blueprints and work instructions.
- Communication skills for coordinating with team members.
- Attention to detail and strong quality-control mindset.
- Basic computer skills for logging production data.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
